Frequently asked questions
What is a contact center assessment?
A structured review of how your contact center operates across strategy, journeys, operations, workforce, platform architecture, integrations, AI, data, compliance and unit economics. Level 1 scores those 10 dimensions live in your browser; Level 2 is a 2–4 week practitioner-led engagement that validates the findings against your actual configuration and data.
How long does the free online assessment take?
About 8–10 minutes. 29 questions on a five-point maturity scale across 10 dimensions, scored instantly with no email gate. Your answers stay in the page link so you can share the exact result with your executive sponsor.
Is the assessment vendor-neutral?
Yes. Nothing in the scoring assumes a specific platform. It applies equally to Five9, Genesys, NICE, Amazon Connect, Cisco, Avaya, Salesforce, Microsoft, Google, Kore.ai and hybrid or on-premise estates — and to any industry.
What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?
Level 1 tells you where you stand. Level 2 tells you what to change, why, and how to execute it — a practitioner-led 2–4 week assessment producing a current-state assessment, architecture and integration review, opportunity heatmap, target-state architecture, business case and a 6/12/18-month roadmap.
Who should take part in the assessment?
For Level 1, score it with the contact center operations lead, the platform owner and the CX or QA lead together. For Level 2, our practitioners work with business, contact center, infrastructure, architecture, operations, security and technology stakeholders.
What does the Level 2 assessment cost and how long does it take?
Two to four weeks depending on scope, estate complexity and the number of stakeholder groups. Scope and pricing are proposed after a short qualification conversation — submit the form and a practitioner replies within one business day.
What the assessment measures.
Ten dimensions, weighted so that the ones which unlock everything downstream — platform, integration, AI and data — carry more of the composite score.
View the 10 dimensions
- 01 · Strategy & Operating Model
Whether the contact center has a funded, owned transformation agenda rather than a series of disconnected projects.
- 02 · Customer Experience & Journeys
How well end-to-end customer journeys are mapped, measured and designed across channels rather than optimized queue by queue.
- 03 · Contact Center Operations
Operational discipline across volume forecasting, routing outcomes, real-time management and continuous improvement.
- 04 · Workforce & Agent Experience
The desktop, coaching and enablement environment agents work in — the strongest single driver of attrition and handle time.
- 05 · CCaaS, IVR & Technology Architecture
Whether the underlying platform can host modern routing, orchestration and AI without a migration first.
- 06 · CRM & Backend Integrations
Whether automation and agents can authenticate a customer and complete a transaction in the systems of record.
- 07 · AI, Voice AI & Automation
Production use of conversational AI, voice AI, agent assist and agentic automation — and how it is governed and measured.
- 08 · Knowledge, Data & Analytics
The quality of knowledge content, interaction data and analytics that both humans and AI depend on.
- 09 · Security, Compliance & Governance
Controls over PII, recordings, access, AI usage and auditability — the gate that decides how fast anything can scale.
- 10 · KPIs, Economics & Business Value
Whether unit economics are known, tracked and used to make investment decisions the CFO accepts.

Executive results dashboard
Your overall transformation score, dimension scorecard, top gaps and the sequenced plan that follows from them.
The platform and operating disciplines are in place. Move deliberately from deflection to authenticated, transactional resolution.
Composite of technology architecture, CRM and backend integration, AI and automation, and knowledge and data — the four dimensions that decide whether AI resolves contacts or only deflects them.
10-dimension scorecard
Ordered by your weakest weighted dimensions first.
- Contact Center Operations3.0 / 5
- Workforce & Agent Experience3.0 / 5
- Security, Compliance & Governance3.0 / 5
- Strategy & Operating Model3.0 / 5
- Customer Experience & Journeys3.0 / 5
- Knowledge, Data & Analytics3.0 / 5
- KPIs, Economics & Business Value3.0 / 5
- CCaaS, IVR & Technology Architecture3.0 / 5
- CRM & Backend Integrations3.0 / 5
- AI, Voice AI & Automation3.0 / 5
Top 5 gaps
- 1 · Contact Center Operations — 3.0/5
Demand is understood by queue rather than by intent, so automation and deflection targets cannot be sized credibly.
- 2 · Workforce & Agent Experience — 3.0/5
Agents carry the integration burden manually — multiple screens, manual notes — which inflates handle time and attrition.
- 3 · Security, Compliance & Governance — 3.0/5
Compliance and AI governance are informal, which will block scale the moment automation touches regulated journeys.
- 4 · Strategy & Operating Model — 3.0/5
Transformation is run as projects without a single accountable owner, so improvements stall after go-live.
- 5 · Customer Experience & Journeys — 3.0/5
Journeys are optimized channel by channel, so customers repeat themselves and repeat-contact volume stays high.
Top 5 improvement opportunities
- 1 · Contact Center Operations
Build a ranked intent taxonomy from 90 days of transcripts and attach volume, AHT and cost per contact to the top 25 intents.
- 2 · Workforce & Agent Experience
Deploy a unified desktop with automated after-call summarization on the two highest-volume queues and baseline the AHT delta.
- 3 · Security, Compliance & Governance
Formalize an AI governance forum, automated PII redaction and documented human-escalation rules before scaling automation.
- 4 · Strategy & Operating Model
Stand up a contact center product pod with an executive sponsor, a funded backlog and a quarterly outcome review.
- 5 · Customer Experience & Journeys
Map the top 10 journeys with cost, effort and drop-off per step, then redesign the three with the highest repeat-contact rate.
Recommended priorities & 90-day action plan
Sequenced from your three weakest weighted dimensions — moves that can start now without waiting on a platform program.
- Days 0–30 · Contact Center Operations
Mine 90 days of interactions to produce a ranked top-25 intent list with volume, AHT and cost per contact.
- Days 30–60 · Workforce & Agent Experience
Pilot automated call summarization and disposition on one high-volume queue with a measured before/after on after-call work.
- Days 60–90 · Security, Compliance & Governance
Publish an AI usage and escalation policy, and turn on automated PII redaction across transcripts and recordings.
6–12 month transformation roadmap
The structural work that follows the quick wins, ordered by dependency.
- Wave 1 · Contact Center Operations
Institutionalize a monthly contact-driver review that routes root causes into upstream product, billing and policy backlogs.
- Wave 2 · Workforce & Agent Experience
Consolidate the agent desktop and connect scored interaction data to individual coaching plans and onboarding curricula.
- Wave 3 · Security, Compliance & Governance
Operate a standing governance forum with model, prompt and vendor risk reviews wired into the release process.
- Wave 4 · Strategy & Operating Model
Move from project funding to a standing product pod (owner, designer, engineer, analyst) with a quarterly outcome-based investment review.
- Wave 5 · Customer Experience & Journeys
Redesign the top journeys around cross-channel context passing so identity and history persist through every hand-off.
The 2–4 week enterprise assessment.
A self-score is a hypothesis. Our practitioners validate it against your actual routing configuration, contact volumes, integrations and KPI data — then produce the roadmap and business case your leadership can fund.
